What a great idea but how many people that haven't a clue what to do are going to cause more damage than good? Maybe register the name and contact of a neighbor that can be contacted in such an emergency that can be there to let in the first responders. They can also give history. I've always appreciated my nosey neighbors they keep bad things from happening.
