Why wasn’t Narcan readily available at Walmart? In today’s world, naloxone (Narcan) should be a standard part of every business’s emergency response kit, just like an AED (automated external defibrillator). Both are lifesaving tools that can mean the difference between life and death when every second counts. With opioid overdoses being such a widespread public health crisis, especially in high-traffic public places, having Narcan accessible and employees trained to administer it should be a basic safety precaution, not an afterthought. A life could depend on it.
