Apartment fire alarm caused by cooking smoke

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a reported fire alarm at a three-story apartment building on Plainfield Avenue in Metuchen. A Zone 2 alarm was investigated, and it was determined to be smoke from cooking in the basement level. The building was ventilated, the alarm system was reset, and units were returned to service.
