Car flees officer at high speed near King Avenue

why are police so inclined to chase . dont they know that they almost every situation they are creating a more dangerous one? and most the time the person wasnt even dangerous on the road at first they just have some drugs or something that isn't immediately dangerous to anyone. how anyone justifys this is beyond my comprehension. if the person isn't creating a hazard but runs and the cop continues you chase when he has the option to back up and call it in or whatever is imo half responsible for any injuries or death caused by the one they chasing
