Woman setting small fires along Sylvan St sidewalk

Police dispatch reports a woman suspected of arson near Buffalo Avenue and Sylvan Street in Los Angeles. She is described as about 50 years old, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, a black waist pack, and carrying a purple blanket. She is barefoot and is seen lighting pieces of cardboard on fire as she walks eastbound along Sylvan Street. A caller at the scene reports that she continues to start small fires and the caller keeps putting them out. Units are sent from the station to check for any active fire and contact the fire department if needed. The response is later reduced when it appears there may not be a large active fire, but officers continue toward the scene.
