When they start passing laws here in Alabama, like what they have in Maine for pedestrians getting hit ,that shit will come to a screeching halt. I myself was hit almost twice walking into Belk, where there is pedestrian, crossing and underground parking by a young kid, and his girlfriend and I mean, he screeched his tires to come to a stop to not hit me and another pedestrian. Now how would that have looked on his record that he hit a nurse in a pedestrian cross walk. People you need to slow down and think about what you’re doing ! Stop driving like idiots in pedestrian cross walks or don’t get behind the wheel! It’s time to start getting petitions signed for big fines, $6000 automatically if they hit a pedestrian or more ! I will push for the highest fines. Christmas is coming and there is going to be a lot of people out shopping. Get off your damn phone and stop and think about what you’re doing… just a ton of idiots out here.
