Man reportedly chased with hammer downtown

As discussed during the dispatch call, dispatch received a report of one man chasing another with a hammer near First Street and Lincoln Avenue in downtown Hibbing, possibly by North Lake and in front of the Canisius House. The man with the hammer was described as wearing a blanket-style jacket, and the other man as wearing a multicolored coat with dirty gray pants. The caller later indicated the situation no longer appeared threatening and was unsure if the chase was intentional.
