I got a 59-year-old male coming from dialysis center.

He is a priority one respiratory on BiPAP.

Suspected to be a fluid overload issue.

Patient was at dialysis, believed in the middle of a treatment, when he had a loss of consciousness and some respiratory distress.

Staff began CPR.

However, reported that he was breathing and fighting the CPR.

So I find it unlikely that he ever was pulseless.

Upon EMS arrival,

he was in pretty significant respiratory distress and found to be hypertensive with a blood pressure of 200 over 100 .

He's got rales and some accessory muscle use with breathing.

He was doing about 90 % on a non-rebreather, but with significant distress.

I now have him on BiPAP.

With some improvement in effort, his stats still showing at eighty-eight percent now.

Current vitals: heart rate of 80 , last 100 and ninety-seven over 110 , and eighty-eight percent on BiPAP.
