As discussed during the dispatch call, officers responded to reports of a driver repeatedly hitting a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on Illinois 143 near Indian Hills Drive and South Moreland Road. A trooper stopped the vehicle near South Moreland Road, and one person was taken into custody.
