Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Highway 78 in Cordova

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded near Highway 78 in Cordova for a reported crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The caller stated the vehicle had been traveling at the speed limit when the pedestrian was hit. Responders initially could not see the pedestrian and searched both the roadway and nearby grass before being advised the patient was in the grass. State troopers and an air medical unit were notified and air transport was accepted to a nearby landing zone at a church.
