Apartment building fire on Locust Street in Columbia

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded to a reported building fire at an apartment complex near Locust Street in Columbia Borough. Witnesses reported visible flames and heavy smoke near rear stairwells, and people were seen running from the apartments. Fire units closed part of Route 322 westbound near Brewbaker Valley Road while they worked at the scene. A separate medical call for a seizure was also dispatched to a location on Richardson Drive in East Hempfield Township.
