I'm just curious as to why a police car dispatched to this retail theft of one older man would be asking for a backup? We have so much crime and murder going on in Chicago, and it takes two separate police units to respond to a 50 year old male committing retail theft! I could see needing more than one police unit if there were more than one perpetrator, like maybe a group or more than two . But is it really necessary to take an extra unit off the streets, to respond to a 50 year old man committing retail theft? Especially this time of day , 6am is the time criminals love doing carjackings, robberies, stealing ATM machines the list goes on! From my understanding and from reading about crimes in Chicago, most criminals love committing crimes from 2am until 8am! Now I know that criminals comitt crimes 24/7,but robberies have been occuring in the early hours of the day , victims being construction workers , for their cash money they usually carry and their tools!

Well, you do see it’s on the east side right, and what lives on the east side, so ya send backup cause we don’t know what the person is packing or who’s waiting outside! 👍🏼
