Gas leak investigation at apartment on Main Street

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a reported interior gas odor at an apartment building near Main Street in Cotuit. Units evacuated residents, requested utility and support services, and traced the apparent source to an unlit gas burner left on in an upper-floor apartment. Ventilation was coordinated while awaiting the gas company and property management.
