Pedestrian hit by vehicle with minor injuries

Emergency medical staff report on a man who was hit by a vehicle while walking. He was struck on his right side at an estimated vehicle speed of 20 to 30 miles per hour. He has abrasions on both hands that have been bandaged and no major pain or deformities. He has no back pain, a stable pelvis, normal breathing, and normal awareness with no loss of consciousness. His medical history includes diabetes and an underactive thyroid, with no known drug allergies. His blood pressure, pulse, and breathing are within acceptable ranges, his oxygen level is good, and he is not taking blood thinner medicine. He is being taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
